Alright, so Winterjam has been underway for 4 weeks now, and I haven’t said a word. Just pathetic. I apologize.
The problem is I’m having way too much fun on the tour, and I haven’t had the discipline to sit my butt down and write about it. Plus, Mark Anderson (our stage manager) and I may have snuck a tiny trip to New York City in between tour stops…I know. Shame on us :)
So here’s where we’ve gone so far…
Charleston, WV – Rehearsals and first show.
Raleigh, NC – good times
Charlotte, NC – more good times
Orlando, FL – some more good times
Jacksonville, FL – really good times
Tampa, FL – a guy licked Kari Jobe’s guitar player’s shoe. Yes. you read that right.
Atlanta, GA – I got sick and threw up. Not good times.
NEW YORK CITY! – Went and saw David Letterman
Des Moines, IA – First snow of the tour
St. Charles, MO – good times again
Ft. Wayne, IN – you know what I’m going to say here
Reading, PA – good times
State College, PA – currently good times.
And here’s a few photos…
What’s up Winterjam!
Skillet blows up…
Oh, nope. They’re just fine.
There are 140 people on this tour, and it’s been a blast getting to know everyone. You got Skillet, Peter Furler and band, Kari Jobe and band, Building 429, Newsong, Group1Crew, Dara Mclean, For King & Country, We As Human, Brock Gill, Nick Hall, Pie the Catering man, Steve the Jib operator, Lloyd the monitor man, Bobby the tour pastor, Jessie the merch man, Kendra the assistant tour manager and on and on and on…and what’s so great is that everyone is great. It’s quickly becoming a great little family.
So anyway, it’s been a great month on Winterjam, and I’m excited that we have a couple more to go. For now though, I’m hungry and it’s dinner time. Peace out.
Oh, and here’s a couple photos from New York…

You guys were great last night in Cleveland!!! Thanks for putting on an awesome show and representing Ohio!
We took our 3 children to Winter Jam in Greensboro, NC for the first time. They LOVED it! My 8 year old daughter has been following Sanctus Real since baby Bowen was born, and she was so excited to meet you guys after the show to have her poster signed. You were all so nice to stay and meet your fans, it was a real testament to your dedication to spread the word and reach out to as many people as possible. That alone is an inspiration! God Bless.
Hey!! I was so excited to go to my first Winter Jam & take my 13 yr old daughter to her first concert. We couldn’t wait to see Sanctus Real, your music has been more than a blessing to me. My 18 yr old son was going through things & im a single mother so I didnt understand alot. I was crying out to God one day to give me words of wisdom to speak & wouldnt you know, “Im Forgiven” came on the radio. I played that song for him, he was touched & listened to it a few more times. Words will never be able to explain my gratitude. I couldnt wait to meet you after the concert, but my sister, who is handicapped was not able to make it to your section, so I decided to take her to the car & while my other sister & my daughter went to find you. They were able to get your autographs & said ya’ll were very nice. I want to say Thank You for allowing Christ to use you. And staying after to sign autographs, you will never know how much that meant for me and my family.
Went to winterjam in Council Bluffs, Ia. last night. You guys were the one group I wanted to see and you weren’t there?? Disappointed but still a good night listening to the other groups.
